From May 19 to May 30 2004, CCGC organized an expert group to United States for learning its technology in composites industry. The visiting group went to see the SAMPE 2004 Exposition held in Long Beach, United States. SAMPE is the abbreviation for Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering which is founded in March 1944 and whose annual meeting and exposition had grown into an international academic pageant. The SAMPE 2004 is held at the 60^th anniversary for the Society and more than 350 technological seminars are presented and 185 companies attended the exhibition. The delegation also visited the CMT Corporation (famous for producing SMC segment molded auto part), ASHLAND Corporation (American famous resin supplier) and PPG Glass Fiber and its Technology Center.
