Designed and manufactured by Weihai Zhongfu Xigang Ship Co., Ltd, The 21.30-meter and 32.98-meter FRP trawlers were selected to the “Ten National Standardized Fishing-boat Types” on the Chinese Fishing Equipment Technology Development Forum on May 22, 2012 with the advantages of safety, environment protection, economic and energy saving. The two selected boat won the optimal design and construction award issued by the organizing committee.
Compared with the traditional linear boat, the two selected boats keep the advantages of rational structure, small resistance and better wind resistance. The boats equipped with new type marine engine, which greatly increase the economic efficiency of the boats. In addition, the rearrangement of the cabin improves the comfort of the sailors.
The standardization of the fishing boat is a vital task of the fishery department during the 12th five-year plan period. As the North’s biggest FRP shipbuilding base, Zhongfu Xigang laid a solid foundation for the long-term development of CCGC.
